Company Sponsored Workers
If you are an foreign national who has a guaranteed job offer (an offer of employment from a Canadian company), you may be able to immigrate to Canada in as little as six months.
FEDERAL CLASS IMMIGRANTS WITH ARRANGED EMPLOYMENT
- Workers in this category must be sponsored by a Canadian company and are required to obtain 67 points on merit scale (including up to 15 points for “arranged employment”).
- Workers currently working in Canada under a valid work permit may qualify if employer can provide an “Offer of Indeterminate” employment.
- Workers not working in Canada may qualify if employer can obtain positive “Arranged Employment Opinion” from Service Canada.

WORKERS SPONSORED BY A BRITISH COLUMBIA COMPANY
- Workers do not require points for federal system.
- British Columbia company must sponsor workers in a skilled profession by providing details of employee shortages in Canada for particular profession.
- British Columbia company must prove inability to locate or retain Canadian employees in profession.
- British Columbia company must offer fair wages to foreign workers (i.e. wages must be comparable to those offered to Canadians).

The following information applies to all categories of immigrants.
IMMIGRANT REQUIREMENTS
- Immigrant cannot have criminal convictions for which rehabilitation has not been obtained.
- Immigrant cannot have medical problems which would cause excessive demand on Canadian social or medical services or causes them to be a danger to the Canadian public (example: contagious diseases).
- Immigrant must obtain Authorization to Return if they were previously deported from Canada.

GOVERNMENT APPLICATION FEES
- BC PNP Fees: CDN$550 per application (subject to change and only applicable for British Columbia provincial nominees).
- Federal Application Fees: CDN$550 per adult immigrant and CDN$150 per child under 18 (applicable to all applicants).
- Federal Landing Fees (due if application is approved): CDN$490 per adult immigrant 18 and over (applicable to all immigrants).
