Canadian Immigration Appeals
If your immigration visa to Canada or sponsorship application has been refused by a visa officer our law firm can assist you to appeal the decision. You have two choices for the appeal: he Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada, which deals mostly with family class and permanent residence appeals, and the Federal Court of Canada which is a court that deals with most other types of cases.
You should be aware that there are strict deadlines for filing your appeals and you are required to obtain supporting documents, swear affidavits, give oral testimony and make legal arguments before a Member of the IRB or a Federal Court Judge.
It is a also a good idea to consult with a lawyer on the merit of your appeal prior to starting the complicated and often expensive immigration appeal process. We invite you to contact our office for a consultation or you can click on any of the appeal categories below to obtain more information.
